Is it true that women crave sex more than men?

I have a hard time believing this. If it is indeed true that women crave sex more than( or as much as) men, what is it that men do that always puts men in the position of having to either beg or do "assorted tricks" to obtain sex from women?

TO WOMEN: How would a guy have to act if he wanted to change the dynamic such that you came after him for sex? Is it as simple as him acting as if sex isn't a big deal to him?

I don't believe this to be so. In the book His Needs Her Needs, men's #1 is sex, it's in the middle for women.
